As a new landscape painter, I look for vistas to paint, especially mountains, rural barns and stone walls. Their textures and colors are wonderful to explore along with the light and seasonal changes. Since working and retiring in coastal Rhode Island, the ocean, waterways and marshes represent a different set of challenges. Each painting must be a unique response to a particular setting, enjoying what nature and mankind together have created.d.
